Hey :)
I am a writer (professional) and an illustrator (self-taught amateur) working in the fantastic/fantasy field for various books and fanzines in my country and in Quebec and since february for an American audiobooks publisher (illustrations for children's tales).
I also do amateurly a bit of graphic (flyers, visiting cards...) and website design, photography (very amateurly this one, I just have my cams and my ideas, plus a few outfits and good will - and a cute doll at hand when no flesh and blood models are available ^_^) and book design (this latter thing for a fanzine I run with my fiancé and some friends). If I should describe my work I would say "simple but tasteful" insisting on simple... and tasteful. My main website is there http://www.kingdomsofestel.com
Im am quite fond of vampires, especially in literature and old movies, of 18th and 19th century culture and imagery and music from the 1950's to 1970's among other things.
Since pin-up art is one of the numerous subjects that are of interest to me, I have recently decided to develop this facet of my art by opening, in September 2005, a website entirely devoted to my pin-up art (http://www.estelspinups.net) and to improve it regularly with new images. I have so far penciled Dita Von Teese, and with their permission Drakaina, Claudia Moreno-Toscane, the wonderful Bernie Dexter and the sweetest Sabina Kelley, the amazing Mina and the so very red Miss Conduct. My gallery enlarges every week with new additions of images of beautiful models who have also allowed me to draw them such as Dayna Delux, Robin, Masuimi Max, Jami Deadly and more lovely women, and I hope to continue that :)
Recently I was obliged to change webhost so my site is currently under reconstruction and, since I've had to work hard on 'non-pinup' stuff, I have many pinup illustrations in the making that are not yet finished.
