About Me
Morgana started as photographer and graphic artist creating band photography, CD art and logos inside the Dark metal scene. Her work is primarilly influenced by music, mythologies and dark cinema, particularly from the horror and expressionist genres. Her favourite artists are Neil gaiman, Dave Mckean, Brom and painters from the Pre-Raphaelite era.
Her artworks are derived and inspired from visions such as dreams, nightmares, and her most personal thoughts. It has been said that the eyes of the people of each featured artwork have their own life, and this is the artist's credo- she tries to breathe an individual spirit into each character, as the time honoured expresession says: "the eyes are the mirror of the soul" Morgana's work exemplifies this addage....
She uses a combination of traditional photography, digital manipulation, digital drawing and painting; fusing traditional methodologies with emergent technology.
