About Me

Who I Am: I am Emily, a 26 year old female photographer, designer, and mommy of 2 little boys. I have been shooting for several years, but am now building what I call my serious portfolio and jokingly refer to as my "real" portfolio. I took about a year and a half off of shooting regularly due to having a new baby, but am now starting to shoot again and hope to keep myself very busy in 2009. I am very nice and easy to work with, and I am very approachable so if you're interested in working with me, don't be afraid to ask!

What I Do: I shoot with a Canon 20D and I love my Canon. I love to do things differently. I love to take people out of their element and give them images that are completely different than the ones they already have in their portfolio. I love working with tattooed men and women. I shoot entirely on location and love to use abandonment, ruin and decay as my settings and backgrounds for my images. My images can be rough, but that's the intention. I love to create a photograph that will make people actually have a genuine reaction to it. I love to tell a story within a picture.

Test (Trade) Shoot Policy: I have no problem at all with test, trade, TFCD, TFP, TF*, whatever you choose to call it. I have a lot of projects in store for 2009 and will definitely accept trade shoots with the right models. If you do not fit a project that I have in mind but you would still like to work with me, I will still happily work with you for a very low and reasonable session fee unless you have an absolutely brilliant idea that I feel would be a great benefit to both of our portfolios, in which I may accept a trade proposal. I have a model release that you must sign if we do a trade shoot, this is not negotiable.

My ideas, a collaboration of my ideas with your ideas = Trade shoot.
Your ideas, your needs = You hire me.
