About Me
For classification purposes, I would be considered an "Outsider Artist", in that I represent my own work and I have had no formal training. My vision is most closely aligned with the LOWBROW MOVEMENT. For reference, JUXTAPOZ is a magazine devoted to lowbrow art and artists. One of my goals is to someday be featured within its pages.
My creations are based in fetishes, notions and emotions rather than formula and technical knowledge. The results are from over twenty years of practice and experience. Inclinations include science fiction, horror, fairy tales, cheesecake pin-up art, satire and the absurd.
Most of my originals belong to private collections throughout the world. It was only recently that I was struck with the revelation that I needed to keep some for portfolio purposes and gallery showings. So for now, I am not parting with any original artwork, unless otherwise commissioned. I do offer open-edition prints and on rare occasion, one-of-a-kind customized prints.
This ties into the reasoning for my latest project, NIGHTMARE GIRLS. The goal is to re-build my portfolio stock while honing my art skills. With this project, my audience is personally involved, as they are able to submit photographs of themselves and their familiars to be integrated into one of my sinister and supernatural pieces of artwork.
