Hi, I'm Big Al!

By blending a mix of figure drawing, caricature and pin-up, I hope to create images in collaboration with models. I like to work from life and capture personality and character through pencils, ink, watercolor and other drawing mediums. I have an easel that can be set up and ready in a few minutes. Live drawings can range in time posed from a few minutes to an hour or more. I can work at almost any location. I'm about an hour east of San Francisco and south of Sacramento. I can draw from a photo, but prefer to work from ones I've taken.

In August 2007 - I will have a solo show @ the Kazem in Brentwood, CA 94513
Creating all new work drawn from life with a variety of models. I'd like to get a cross section of sizes, ethnicities, fashions, etc. Some of the sessions will be on-site at the Kazem.

I can be comissioned to do artwork for you. I can create images from existing photos, but so much more character can be achieved when I've met and drawn the model from life.
