My heroes/inspirationalists are: Orsen Welles, Stanley Kubrick, Irving Penn, Richard Avedon, Helmut Newton, Greg Gorman(love the light), Chip Simmons, Mary Ellen Mark,David Lynch, Robert Mapplethorpe, David Lein, Martin Scorcesse, Terry Gilliam, David Finch, Ridley Scott, Alfred Hitchcock,Akira Kurosawa
My style varies, but always includes people. I prefer to shoot locations, to tell the story, and even when shooting "studio" photographs, I prefer to have some kind of set,or props going on.
I am described as having an edgy, punk rock-meets high fashion-meets dingy rock and roll style. The words dark,punchy, and dramatic seem to come up.
I shoot w/ Hasselblads,Nikons and recently went dig-12+ megapixels. Norman AC power packs, Battery portables, Mole Richardson- motion picture lamps, and have a generator for location.
I do sometimes shoot tfcd projects with interesting, passionate models, and always welcome creative stylists.
